MACERIE

Rubble is what remains after an earthquake. What was a perfect, furnished house suddenly becomes just dust and rubble. There are those who see a past world from that rubble, and those who see a new world. Nino has arrived at the ruins of the Grand Hotel to look for his mother Azzurra, who abandoned him a few years earlier. Nino arrived there to take her home, and get answers. But there he finds a person he didn’t expect: Malatesta, a boy of his age who seems to be having a relationship with his mother. Azzurra, together with him and the boy’s uncle, Pasqualone, wants to fix up the hotel, to bring it back to the glories of the past. Nino’s jealousy will push him to the extreme, however leading him to discover the truth about his mother’s abandonment.
