THE QUEEN OF BASKETBALL

Director: Ben Proudfoot

Country: USA

Duration: 20′

It was the 1970s when American basketball was hit by a breath of fresh air called Lusia Harris. The documentary traces the career of Lusia, known as “Lucy”, one of the greatest basketball players ever, winner of 3 national trophies and the one who scored the first basket in the history of women’s basketball at the 1976 Olympics. But her story does not end here. Harris was the first female NBA draft pick, but she gave up.
